Pure voice technology, developed by Qualcomm, make voice mail possible using a conventional mail client. The strength of pure voice is the compression algorithm, which converts voice messages into small files which can be sent easily as an attachment. The result is voice mail downloads are faster. Of course, the recipient must also use pure voice to hear the message. Pure voice player is a plugin for Qualcomm's Eudora mail client but can be used almost as effectively with any mail program.
